The event will feature a powerful mural unveiling, guest speakers, poetry competition, live musical performances, and a middle school dance. Join us @mhotaofficial at Madison House Of the Arts for the **End Gun Violence Dependency Event** on **August 3, 2024** 11:30AM-10PM
Our dedicated young adult board 2024 ( @sayeed_jailhawk22 @its_just_th30 @tinnipanda @em.marhoover ) will be unveiling a powerful mural that symbolizes the collective effort to end gun violence dependency in our communities. The event will feature guest speakers including the impactful Carl Mack and other speakers to shed light on the dangers of gun violence dependency.
**Event Details:**
- **Date:** August 3, 2024
- **Time:** 11:30 AM onwards
- **Location:** Madison House Of the Arts, Lynchburg, Virginia
### Event Schedule:
- **11:30 AM:** Event kick-off with light refreshments
- **12:00 PM:** Ribbon-cutting ceremony (Will be broadcasted live on Instagram)
- **3 PM - 5 PM:** Open art house for networking and engaging conversations
At the event, we will have a poetry competition for ages 12-16 focusing on ending gun dependency. The top three winners will receive gift card prizes. Inspirational speeches and live musical performances will be scattered throughout the day to amplify our message.

**Middle School Dance (6 PM - 10 PM):** HOSTED BY@sayeed our young adult board member
- Entry Fee: $5 (includes two soft drinks - icee pop and access to activities)
- Pizza slices available for $1 each from 7:30 - 9:30 PM
- Freestyle hip hop competition with gift card prizes (Ages 12-16), promoting the eradication of gun violence dependency
