About this Event
Nick Cavoli graduated from the Jazz University of Rome in 2019 and has spent the last seven years touring with several projects around Europe and the USA such as Sleepwalker’s Station and MCFdM. For the last three years he has been based in Berlin and has established himself in the jazz scene playing the main Jazz Clubs like Bflat and Schlot.
In January 2023, he began to gig in New York City with his new band, playing venues such as Winnie's Jazz Bar, The Shrine and Fiction Bar. In April he returned to the city for another tour playing at the Festival Cafe, Silvana, Fiction Bar, Starr Bar and the Porch.
About the Project:
This quartet was born in 2023 in Berlin. The four musicians are looking for a new sound to make Jazz easier for people to relate and listen to. They had their first tour in the Italian Alps, spending a week playing in the mountains getting to know each other musically. The Hammond is of vital importance to this projects. Its dual role being to provide a bass line at the same time as the harmony. The trumpet and saxophone players have known each other for the last three years, touring together for this time. Only recently did they decide to change things up in their band and introduce two new band members who have brought amazing energy to the project.
