CHAMPIONS REUNION XVII SET
FOR SUNDAY OCTOBER 5TH
ONALASKA, WI – The 17th Annual Champions Reunion is set to take place at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway, West Salem, WI., Sunday, October 5th, as part of the 56th Annual, Oktoberfest racing weekend, October 2-5. The event continues to grow and may well be the biggest of its kind anywhere. This year's event will again be held in the speedway's turn one Hospitality Chalet, from 11am-2pm Sunday of 'Fest.
Special racing guests are the norm for appearing at the event and this year will be no different. In the past the reunion has drawn notable racing dignitaries Ernie Tuff, Tom Reffner, Marv Marzofka, Steve Holzhausen, Bryan Reffner, Dick Trickle, Tim Schendel, Bobby Weiss, Larry Wehrs, Leon Plank, Tom Steuding, Larry Behrens, Al Schill, Dave Watson, Mike Miller, racing champion driver and promoter, Phil Bickley and many others too numerous to list here. Along with a cast of super star racers and promoters, cars that raced back in the day will also be on hand. Those to appear raced as far back as the 1950s up into the 1990s.
John J. Mayer Insurance a huge supporter of racing through the years, will be the presenting sponsor of the event as he has done in the past. 'I help out because I love racing and get to see the guys every year".
Any Championship winning racer from any tour, series, or track, that hasn't competed in the last three years, is invited to attend, including Oktoberfest main event winners. Past and present racing promoters are also invited. According to event co-ordinator Dale P. Danielski, " Close to 70 champion drivers attended in 2024, and we expect more of the same for the 2025 edition."
The best part of the show is that fans holding a Sunday ticket for the Oktoberfest races, will be able to get up close to these drivers and racing machines free of charge. They'll also be able to have a look at all the old time racing literature and memorabilia at the show.
