About Champagne Franck Bonville and Odyssée 319:
From their position in the heart of the Cotes de Blancs, Champagne Franck Bonville specialise in making Chardonnay based wines with the fruit of their Grand Cru plots in the 3 villages of Avize, Oger and Le Mensil Sur-Oger.
Their modern cellar and forward thinking in the vineyards are followed up with extended aging of 30 months or more in their 19th century galleries in the chalk below their estate. The aromatic character and complexity of the resulting wines are something 4th generation winemaker Olivier Bonville can be proud of.
In Partnership with son-in-law Ferdinand Ruelle, Olivier also works on their passion project: Odyssee 319, to explore the many and varied terroirs of the 319 Crus of Champagne. Inspired by Homer’s epic poem, their first 3 cuvées demonstrate different aspects of their home in the Cotes de Blancs, Avize.
