About this Event

This Geographical Association (Belfast Branch) talk is intended to support the delivery and understanding of CCEA's A2 Geography Specification – Option D (Tourism) - 2. Challenges and management of mass tourism: (i) demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the challenges that may arise from mass tourism – pollution, overcrowding, honeypot sites, social sustainability and competition for resources. For (i) general reference to places for illustration purposes only; (ii) evaluate strategies used to reduce the negative social and environmental impacts of mass tourism. For (ii) one tourism management policy at the national or regional scale, for example Mallorca.
