Balance the chakras and discover the physical and mental strengths deep-rooted within your body.If we bring about awakening and balance to the chakras, we bring about a deep process of healing physical and mental suffering. This transformational process is available to us through practices which zone into the energy body and to specific chakras. The group size is limited to 18 students so we can offer a really personal learning experience. There will be three days of study and practice followed by a Sunday workshop.
You can book this course on its own or as part of our Advanced 300-hour teacher training.
Course Skills:
Understand the psychology and physiology of the chakras and how chakras relate to the endocrine system (hormone system)
Charge and discharge- understanding how to send prana to depleted chakras and how to discharge over-dominant chakras
How to sequence classes with reference to specific chakras
How to sequence a chakra-balancing class
Chanting- chakra bija mantras
Practice and teach pranayama to balance the chakra system
Course Teacher, Laura Gilmore
Laura Gilmore leads the training programmes at Bristol School of Yoga. With over 15 years' teaching experience, Laura is certified to train teachers to the highest level. Laura shares an in depth knowledge of yoga traditions, meditation practices, pranayama techniques. Evolving a practice from dynamic ashtanga and comprehensive hatha to subtle chakra and tantra work, focussing on the precision of Iyengar.
