Never heard of the Chaga mushroom? Here some info for you:
Chaga is also called 'the Mushroom of Immortality', 'Diamond of the Forest' and 'King of the Medicinal Mushrooms', this is not by accident...drawing nutrients from the tree the Chaga grows on, it is said to be:
- super immune-boosting
- anti-inflammatory
- anti-viral
- anti-parasitic
- antioxidant
- high in minerals such as zinc, calcium, cesium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, rubidium, silicon and sulphur
- an adaptogen, rich in phytonutrients, helping the body adjust to stressful circumstances
- high in melanin
- supporting cancer-treatments
- helps treating skin-disease
Chaga has a rich history of use in Russian and Siberian folklore and herbalism (and all over the world in colder climates)- from making medicinal teas to starting a fire by carrying a Chaga coal that was lit by a spark (interestingly Chaga also looks charcoal like, black and burnt on the outside) 🔥
Our ancestors knew- medicine and nourishment is all around us in nature. Let's explore this medicinal and nourishing mushroom together!
