The Very Reverend Dr. John Behr is a British Orthodox priest, theologian, and scholar known for his work on early Christianity and Patristic theology. He is currently the Regius Professor of Humanity at the University of Aberdeen and has previously served as the Dean of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary. He is also a prolific author and holds the Metropolitan Kallistos Chair of Orthodox Theology at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam.

He was commended by former Archbishop of Canterbury (and inaugural speaker of the Chadwick-Oden lecture series) Rowan Williams as one of the most significant English-speaking Orthodox theologians of his generation.
