Michael (Mick) Barry Ryan is the former Major General of the Australian Army and a graduate from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and the U.S. Marine Corps University Command and Staff College and School of Advanced Warfighting. Ryan is also the esteemed author of several books on modern conflict, including War Transformed: The Future of Twenty-First-Century Great Power Competition and Conflict, and White Sun War: The Campaign for Taiwan.
