CFR Florida’s Casting Campfire🎣🔥Fly Casting Tune-Up & Cookout🔥🎣
Join us in the beautiful Black Hammock Wilderness area for casting tune-up followed by a cozy campfire cookout.
During the tune-up session, participants will receive customized casting tips and instruction alternating between the front porch “classroom” and the secluded casting area.
Then we’ll gather around the fire where you can roast hot dogs and s'mores, enjoy a glass of wine, and connect with fellow CFR alumni.
Date: Saturday January 24, 2026
Time: 3 PM – 7 PM
Location: Black Hammock Wilderness Area, Oviedo (exact location will be shared to participants after they register)
Cost: This is a free event for CFR alumni.
• Hotdogs, chips, s'mores materials, water, and a glass of wine
will be provided.
• (Feel free to bring your favorite drink or snack to share.)

do our best to accommodate.

What to wear: You will be outside in the sun (or drizzle) for most of the day. Dress comfortably for the weather with fishing/outdoorsy type clothes such as shorts, jeans, hiking pants, T-Shirt, tank top, or fishing shirt with comfortable shoes.
What to bring:
• Fly fishing outfit (we have loaner rods if you need one)
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Sunglasses (required and important for eye protection)
• Rain Jacket
• Jacket
• Water bottle
• Snacks
• Comfortable shoes
• Change of clothes (optional - in case it rains)
