Scene by Scene Part 2: Actor & Director - Clare Cooney Our storytelling series continues with Clare Cooney, a filmmaker, SAG actor, and programmer whose feature directorial debut Departing Seniors has been earning acclaim as a horror/comedy hit.
Opening Night at the Chicago International Film Festival, Departing Seniors went on to screen worldwide (BFI Flare, FrightFest UK, Screamfest LA, Cannes’ Fantastic Pavilion), before earning a limited theatrical run and breaking into the Top 10 on iTunes Horror & Independent charts.
Clare’s award-winning short films (Runner, Pick Up, After (A Love Story)) have earned festival acclaim and gone viral on Omeleto, and as an actor, you may recognize her from NBC's Chicago Med, CW’s 4400, Steve McQueen’s Widows, and the SXSW sci-fi thriller Descendent. Now back in Michigan, she’s programming films at the Farmington Civic Theater and developing her next feature.
