Psychologist and circus artist, Dr. Sherry Walling has teamed up with Emerge Therapy to create Touching Two Worlds: Integration.
Scheduled for May 3rd, 2024—during Mental Health Awareness Month—this program is designed to provide practical strategies for the application of artistic movement in healing trauma, anxiety, and depression, and helping in grief recovery.
This three-credit CEU program, approved by the Minnesota Board of Psychology, the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy, and the Board of Social Work, combines theory, practice and experiential learning:
A panel of movement artists and therapists including Sherry Walling, PhD, Alissa Kaasa MSW, LICSW, Nastaaja Johnson, MA, and Robert McCauley, LICSW exploring theoretical frameworks for incorporating artistic movement into therapy and self-care.
Moderated by Emerge Therapy co-founder Elizabeth Vogt, PsyD.
Hands-on activities with breathwork and movement, beneficial for both professionals and clients.
A circus performance, enriching the learning experience with artistic expressions of contortion, trapeze, and aerial fabric, followed by a Q&A and networking session.
