About this Event
This event, hosted by the Contextually Engaged Theological Education (CETE) Foundation, brings together graduates, scholars, and the entire doctoral community in the historic and majestic setting of the Ancient Spanish Monastery Chapel.
This extraordinary convocation is not just a ceremony but a celebration of the guild of theologians across time and place. The Ancient Spanish Monastery, built in Spain nearly 900 years ago and reassembled stone by stone in North Miami, provides a fitting backdrop for this sacred gathering.
All graduates are encouraged to attend in full doctoral regalia, with a special procession marking the significance of their accomplishments. The ceremony will feature hooding, blessings, and an opportunity for personal reflection.
Highlights of the Event
- Hooding Ceremony: A symbolic processional as our newest graduates join the body of scholars.
- Graduate Presentations: Hear from Adeline Bernadette Jean, Chidi Francis Nwakile, and Karen Reed on their scholarly contributions.
- Reflections and Blessings: A moment of unity and spiritual connection, celebrating the journey of each scholar.
- Reception: Connect with fellow graduates, faculty, and community members following the convocation.
