The Borders and beyond have whales, dolphins and porpoises that are a mix of resident, seasonal, scarce and rare. Come and learn about the 20 species that have occurred between the border and the Tees from our speaker Martin Kitching.Martin is the volunteer North East Regional Officer for MARINElife and also runs Northern Experience Wildlife Tours. He was involved with the North East Cetacean Project for many years, surveying distribution and behaviour, so has vast experience of the marine mammals in our local area.
We will hold our usual Raffle and Tea and Coffee will be available afterwards with a chance to discuss the event with the speaker and other members
The event is suitable for children aged 8 and above. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs permitted other than assistance dogs.
The suggested donation for non-members is £2 (you can donate in person on the day). All donations help us to continue to bring an interesting and varied selection of events to our audience as well as supporting local wildlife causes
