Come discover Japan's national drink and join a growing sake community worldwide!The SSA Introductory Sake Professional course is coming for the first time to Riga this fall.
An entry point to the sake world for both sake enthusiasts who want to learn more about it and professionals of the food and beverage industry.
The 4h course covers the following points:
- An introduction to sake production to learn about the ingredients and their function in brewing
- Some sake history and its place in Japanese culture
- How to serve sake like a pro
- A tasting session to learn the fundamental steps of tasting sake and how to navigate the different designations
After completion you'll be rewarded with a SSA certificate and an enamel pin.
The Sake Sommelier Association (SSA) is the oldest non-Japanese body to provide formal sake education around the globe and your SSA Sake Educator for the occasion Jerome is also one of a few Sake Scholar in the world.
The course is in english and costs 129€ per person.
Places are limited though and you must be over 18 to take part.
