Psychedelics Facilitator Training Program Outline
Objective: Train facilitators to guide clients through psychedelics assisted sessions by covering harm reduction, preparation, integration, and the unique aspects of psychedelic therapy.
Pre-Training Assignments (Complete Before In-Person Training)
Participants are required to:
- Review Legal Guidelines: Familiarize themselves with psilocybin legality in different regions.

In-Person Training Day (7 hours)
Welcome and Overview
Participants are introduced to the agenda and goals for the day. The importance of mindfulness, respect, and safety in facilitating psychedelic sessions is emphasized.
Harm Reduction and Safety
This session covers harm reduction practices and who is suitable for psychedelic therapy, including contraindications such as psychiatric conditions, cardiovascular risks, and Medic*tion interactions. Hygiene protocols for keeping equipment clean and safe are discussed. A detailed review of serotonin syndrome, including its symptoms and management, will follow. Participants will also practice CPR and First Aid using scenario-based learning.

Psychedelic Therapy vs. Traditional Talk Therapy
Participants will compare psychedelic-assisted therapy with traditional talk therapy. Topics include the use of substances like psilo cybin, MD--MA, and L S D in conjunction with psychotherapy to achieve deep emotional healing. The session will also cover the unique approach of Bionic Bloom, which involves curated playlists and low-stimulation environments to support introspection and emotional processing.

Preparing for Psychedelic Sessions
Participants will explore the importance of the “set and setting,” which involves preparing the client mentally and creating a safe and supportive environment. The role of facilitators in managing client expectations and individualizing dosing and timing based on the client’s needs and goals will be covered.

Lunch Break
Guiding the Psychedelic Experience
This session trains facilitators on managing potential side effects and alleviating negative experiences during psychedelic sessions. The importance of music and a carefully curated sensory environment is emphasized, along with how facilitators can support clients through emotional releases and gain insights.

Integration and Post-Session Support
Participants will learn about post-session integration practices to help clients incorporate insights into everyday life. The role of the facilitator in ongoing support, such as follow-up sessions and offering therapeutic resources, will be explained. The session will conclude with guidance on organizing and leading integration circles and support groups.

Closing
The day concludes with reflections, a Q&A session, and preparation for the upcoming live psilocybin session.
Facilitated Psilocybin Session
This separate session provides participants the opportunity to apply their learned skills in a live facilitated psilocybin session under the guidance of senior facilitators and/or have their own first experience, if approved.
