OPEN TO ALL INDIVIDUALS AGES 18 THROUGH 55:
CERTIFIED PEER RECOVERY SPECIALIST (CPRS) TRAINING
TheeSeeds LLC. has developed a standardized and localized Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) Training Program. Students will be provided basic training on the role and responsibilities of a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), and how to partner with Certified Peer Recovery Specialists effectively.
In accordance to The Maryland Addiction & Behavioral-Health Professionals Certification Board (MABPCB), here are the following are the 4 domains of Certified Peer Recovery Specialists:
- Advocacy - 10 hours
- Ethical Responsibility - 16 Hours
- Mentoring/Education - 10 Hours
- Recovery/Wellness Support - 10 Hours
The entire curriculum:
- encompasses a total of 46 hours of training
- uses English language as a medium of instruction.
Educational Requirements
Must provide proof of a High School Diploma or a GED. Student may provide college transcripts in lieu of High School Diploma or GED.
Personal Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Must self-identify as a person in long-term recovery from the effects of a behavioral health disorder (mental health and/or substance use disorder) for a period of two years or more.
