The year is 2062 and the effects of the climate crisis have impacted everyone’s lives in extreme ways. We lost the game. For many it is difficult to make long term plans, and oftentimes dreams for their lives are literally swept away. This causes despair and hopelessness. But human kind is resilient. People are starting to respond by making Ceremonies for Hope. These are self-organised events in which people gather to feel heard in their grief, and where they find lightness and hope again.
In this larp, we – the players of Ceremony for Hope – will embody our future self, and perform one of these ceremonies together. All players and characters share responsibility for the ceremony together.
This larp touches on sensitive topics and invites the players to show a vulnerable side of themselves with regards to climate change. It allows the players to express their emotions beyond a usually rational debate. Played with care for each other, this larp will deepen connections and trust between the players.

Is this a costumed event?
This LARP is set in the future, so consider what you might be wearing after or during an apocalypse. Costume is encouraged as a way to make the LARP more immersive, but in this case you can also get away fine with wearing normal clothes :)
