This panel focuses on ceremonial-political practices carried through the various forms that gestures take in current Indigenous art practices, bringing together artists Nicolas Renaud (Wendat), Dayna Danger (Métis-Saulteaux-Polish) and Jake Kimble (Dënesųłıné) with moderator Léuli Eshrāghi (Tagata Sāmoa). These gestures may allude to sensuality, languages, memory, reparations, affirmation, resistances, resurgence, temporality, healing, and spiritualities, among other driving principles.
