About this Event
Join us over three weeks for an exploration of ceramics after hours with local ceramicist, Helen Eatough.
Week 1 - 16th September - Create unique and intriguing textures using found materials and build a one of a kind vase.
Week 2 - 23rd September - Design your own original bowl and learn to use a pinch pot technique.
Week 3 - 30th September - Learn to create a candle lantern using professional joining and construction techniques.
This program has been designed for all levels of ability, from beginners to experienced ceramicists. Over the three weeks you will be treated to a comprehensive exploration of techniques including coiling, slab building, pinch pots and surface texture techniques in order to produce three special pieces to treasure forever. One piece from each week will be glazed, fired and made available for you to collect from the Gallery after the course, inclusive of your fee.
We will supply all the required materials for your creative making.
This course is appropriate for adults and teens aged 16+
