About this Event
Ceramic Workshop: Women in the Soil
Date: 9 July 2022
Time: 2pm
Location: Chelsea Space, Chelsea College of Arts
As part of a series to accompany the exhibition Who Has Seen the Wind? Women and Ceramics, this workshop offers an opportunity to touch and explore the ductility, plasticity, and inclusiveness of clay. Accompanied by video work, this workshop provides a relaxing environment and invites participants to have a deeper response through the senses, via building a connection with the exhibition beyond the visual.
Who Has Seen the Wind? Women and Ceramics by MA Curating and Collections students features a series of pottery works from the 20th century to the present. The show illustrates the transformative power of ceramics as a perpetual space of rebirth and unity for women.
