Ceramic Vases at Queen's Theatre.

On Saturday July 9th 2022, Join Lauren Murphy from Mornings Ceramics during a hands-on workshop at Queens Theatre, to design and create your own ceramic vases/vessels. All clay, materials and firings are included, as well as a delicious lunch and complimentary wine. Lauren will guide you through the basics of hand building, and share the processes of pinching, coiling and decorating. Once made, your pieces will then be bisque fired and glazed before collection at a later date, and can then be admired for years to come. No experience necessary, All ages welcome. *Please bring a towel, and apron if you wish.

Ceramicist and Designer Lauren Murphy develops wheel-thrown and hand-built functional ceramic objects. As a current Associate at Jam Factory, and graduate of Visual Communication at the University of South Australia, Lauren combines design processes with a range of ceramic techniques. Lauren’s work is influenced by the variation of forms, textures and colours in natural objects, as well as through exploration of shape, light and scale. Each work is crafted with functionality in mind, through a slow and meditative process of making.
