This is an adult class for students with an interest in learning how to create ceramic sculpture and sculptural items. In this class students will learn about:
Bas relief sculpture as well as sculpture in the round
Armatures, supports, blocking in forms
Styles and surface techniques
Glazing as well as alternatives to glazing
Through hands on sculpturing as well as lectures, demonstrations, and exercises.
Clay, firing, and all tools will be provided.
*Basic knowledge/experience in ceramic and or Introduction to Ceramics is preferred but not required.
