Got an electric kiln but don't know much about repairs or maintenance? Always wanted a kiln but were afriad of the "big fire box"or felt undereducated? Learn how to properly maintain your ceramic electric kiln with hands-on tutorials and expert guidance from the team at Flingin Pots. In this indepth workshop, students will learn how to test a kiln's elements for viability and then remove old elements from Skutt or Paragon kilns, diconnect wiring, and replace with all new parts. Replacement of relays and thermocouple wll also be shown as well as other simple maintence topics; element sags, tighten bands, brick replacement, motar repairs for lids and floors. Bring your questions, a notebook, pair of handy man gloves and lets dive into fixing kilns together!
