About this Event

Join the U.S. EPA for an in-person Regional Roadshow event in Anchorage, Alaska! This event is FREE!

A light breakfast and lunch will be served.

This Regional Roadshow is a part of EPA’s Community, Equity & Resiliency Initiative, a groundbreaking effort to help communities across the nation navigate EPA’s Inflation Reduction Act investments and other new funding opportunities made possible by President Biden’s Investing in America agenda. Through this new initiative, EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) and Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights (OEJECR) will facilitate community-driven partnerships and provide a space for communities to learn, connect and cultivate ideas on how to access the historic resources, especially in low-income and disadvantaged communities.

With over $2 billion in available grant funding for environmental and climate justice projects benefiting communities most impacted by climate challenges, this meeting will provide a unique opportunity to learn about available federal grants, receive in-person grant assistance, meet potential grant partners, and meet Technical Assistance providers to support your application efforts.

Highlighted at this networking event is an extraordinary opportunity: learn about an estimated $150 million available for projects benefiting Tribes in Alaska under a special Target Investment Area (TIA) provision in the Community Change Grant application. This unique TIA provision means you'll be competing only against others within the same TIA. Take advantage of the chance to learn how to secure substantial funding for your transformative projects!

During the Roadshow, community leaders and potential grant applicants will:
  • Meet with fellow peers in Alaska to develop new or deeper community-based partnerships and cultivate ideas for appropriate funding opportunities, specifically the
  • Meet your Thriving Community Technical Assistance Center (TCTAC) providers for grant assistance and organizational support.
  • Receive hands-on technical assistance for your Community Change Grant application and other funding opportunities.
  • Discuss and participate in activities focused on how to confront the climate crisis and advance environmental justice in your community.

Eligible registrants will receive reimbursement for a portion of travel costs, based on distance traveled and selected lodging, as well as a participant stipend for attending. Reimbursement and stipend provision is on a first come first served basis, so please register as soon as possible!

For questions regarding reimbursements, please contact Joy Britt at [email protected].
