About Our Speaker
Liz Gulick, Co-President/CEO, joined Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, Inc. in 2009 as Workforce Development Director. Under her leadership, the company increased the number of programs and the number of people it serves annually from 5,500 to over 10,000; significantly expanded its youth programming to include services for juvenile justice involved youth and out of school/out of work opportunity youth; increased its neighborhood Career Centers from 2 centers in Tucson to 6 centers throughout Southern Arizona; and oversaw the opening of 4 youth reengagement centers.
Liz has been in the role of Co-President/CEO since January 2015. She is a member of the Pima County Workforce Investment Board-Youth Council, Tucson’s Second Chance Coalition serving ex-offenders returning to the community, the Pima County Disability Coalition, and Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center Executive Committee. Liz holds a master’s of science degree in education/counseling and has over 25 years’ experience providing and managing workforce development programs for people with barriers to employment, including 16 years’ experience developing, implementing, and managing large federal grants.

Tucson Young Professionals (TYP) is dedicated to attracting, retaining, and promoting young professionals in the Greater Tucson area. Founded during the Great Recession, TYP provides a platform for young professionals to connect, develop leadership skills, and actively contribute to Tucson's economic and social progress. We emphasize collaboration, leadership, inclusivity, and progress, aiming to ensure that diverse voices lead Tucson's development.
