Morning: The biggest distractions we have in our day are not endless meetings, emails or stakeholder management. It is the voice in our head. That voice that tells us to second guess ourself. It tells us to stop when we know we should go, and go when we should stop. It turns up as imposter syndrome, indecisiveness and sticking to a set path when all the signs are saying change.

When we are constantly fighting that voice our day becomes a never ending battle. We don't delegate, we caught in the business, and we go home exhausted. We then wonder if we are doing the right thing.

In the first session of the day we will dive deep into what causes your mindset. Using modern psychology and ancient and esoteric wisdoms, we will unpack how our brain-body instrument creates our mindset and drives our day. We will cover:

• Why you don’t take action when you know you should.
• Why you doubt yourself
• Why your staff don't perform to the level they say they will and you know they can
• Why you can’t switch off at night
• And what to do about it.

Afternoon: How do you think like a CEO beyond what you learn from a book?

Many Senior Managers and Executives who work closely with CEO’s think they have what it takes to take over the role - only to get a shock when they step up. It’s harder than it looks - who are your peers now? How do you work with the board and shareholders now that the buck stops with you? It can be the loneliest job in town

Darren Fleming is the mindset guru. He is obsessed with helping people perform at their best. He studied law at Sydney Uni, psychology at the University of South Australia and philosophy at Oxford. He spent 10 years representing Australia in sailing, and the last 20 years helping organisations get their head right so they can get their performance right.

Drawing on his qualifications, experience and deep interest in eastern and esoteric philosophies, he developed the Mindset Mastery Methodology. This methodology shows leadership teams how to interpret their brain-body instrument so they can be more productive without the stress and long hours.

The Mindset Mastery Methodology eliminates the mental friction and noise that can fill our head. When we eliminate it we perform at our best without stress. When you deactivate the mental noise, you step into flow, work becomes easier and you go home energised.

Paul Edgintion is the professional CEO. He has 25 years experience as a CEO and many more as an entrepreneur, investor and business owner. He is obsessed with helping teams perform at the elite level.

He studied Journalism and Communication Studies at University of SA, and advanced leadership at Harvard and Stanford Universities. He is a Fellow of the AICD. He has an insatiable curiosity for learning how to lead teams to elite performance.

Paul has had a stellar leadership career and has received multiple awards for his leadership and innovation. He was awarded the EY Social Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019 and the Macquarie Bank David Clarke Fellowship in 2014 for leadership in the NFP sector.

Paul works as a full-time Non-Executive Director, entrepreneur,C-Level mentor and Board Advisor. Paul will bring the insight you need to be a success in 2024, because you won't find it in a text book.
