This 100 mile road ride will leave at 7:00 am Saturday August 23rd from Centennial School (4201 25th St S) parking lot. There is ample parking if you choose to drive to Centennial School. The ride will also end here. If you are not a FlatLands Cycling Club member, you'll need to sign a waiver the morning of the ride. FLC members are covered under their membership waiver.
Route will be determined the day before the ride, depending on the wind. We will publish the .GPX file. There will be at least 2 water/re-fueling stops on the route. The ride is self-supported, bring/buy what you need for the day.
The group will be maintaining a 16-18 mph speed in a paceline. Riders should be comfortable riding in a group and comfortable with drafting. If you are inexperienced in riding in groups, it is suggested to go on group rides prior. Great Northern Bicycle Company has group rides Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights.
Packing list for Century ride
• 2 water bottles
• Nutrition (gels, bars, etc.)
• At least 1 extra tube
• Co2 or pump
• Multitool
• Taillight
• Money and/or credit card
• Cell phone
Wear your FlatLands Jersey if you have one for the ride.
It is required to wear a helmet on this ride.
