Last year, the San Joaquin Valley Manufacturing Alliance and the Fresno County Economic Development Corporation partnered with employer leaders to launch the first employer-led advanced maintenance technician (AMT) program in California....right here in the Central Valley!
Central Valley FAME (Foundation for Advanced Maintenance Education) is part of a nationally-recognized training program where selected individuals attend school 2 days a week and are mentored by their sponsoring employer 3 days a week. At the end of the 2.5 year training, graduates will have earned their AS degree and on-the-job training.
Please join us on Tuesday, October 7, from 8am-10am at Reedley College as we hear from employers, FAME students, the faculty, and other partners to learn about the program, hear the experiences of those involved, and tour the College's training center!
