Jeepers- join us in participating in the Morrow County Chamber Christmas Parade. Let's meet at the Kroger Parking lot (555 W Marion St., Mt. Gilead, OH 43338) at 5:45, and we can caravan to the line-up at the fairgrounds to ensure that we are all together. The parade steps off at 7:00 pm, goes up through town, and then turns north on Union Street.
There are award categories for the parade:
* Spectacular Lights: Given to ANY entry that presents an outstanding display of lights and/or other type of illumination.
* Best Parade Theme: Float or unit following the chosen theme the closest.
* Tin Soldier Award: Marching/walking group that has the most creative use of costumes, lights, and interpretation of theme.
* Best use of costumes or Props: (Float or Unit): Given to an entry that has the best overall originality, creativity, appearance, and interpretation of theme with uniqueness of costuming.
* Best Decorated Vehicle or Golf Cart: For those entrants who do not wish to enter a full float, but just a vehicle.
* Most Creative Production: Given to the entry that has the best overall originality, creativity, appearance, and uniqueness of carrying out the theme.
* Best Religious Theme: Given to the unit that best displays the Christian Message of Christmas.
* Best Community Spirit: Interesting, inspirational, innovative, - we’re looking at schools, church groups, or service organizations.
