Join us for the Central Nebraska Chess Championships – Fall 2025 Edition!
Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome for a full day of strategy, learning, and competition.
This tournament features a USCF-rated section, the points from this tournament will be added to your yearlong scores to pronounce the first ever Kearney City Chess Champion.

USCF Section: 4-Round Swiss
Time Control: G/40, d5
Half-point byes: Available upon registration

🕓 Schedule
Check-In & On-Site Registration: 8:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Round 1: Shortly after 10:00 a.m.
Round 2: 12:15 p.m.
Round 3: 2:15 p.m.
Round 4: 4:15 p.m.
Awards Ceremony: 6:00 p.m.

Pre-Registration: $35 (before November 14th)

🧩 Equipment & Conduct
Players are encouraged to bring their own chess sets and clocks (limited sets available).
All players and spectators—including children—are expected to show proper etiquette and good sportsmanship.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
