Central IL Bat Festival - FREE!2025 Theme: Heroes of the Night
Saturday, September 6, 2025
• 1-4:30pm: Anita Purves Nature Center (1505 N. Broadway Ave, Urbana IL)
• 5:30-8:00pm: Crystal Lake Park (206 W. Park St, Urbana IL)
Local bat biologists and educators invite you to this second annual FREE event! There will be something for all ages and levels of bat enthusiasts including exhibitors, speakers, kids’ activities, food trucks, and more. Daytime activities will be located in and around the Urbana Park District’s Anita Purves Nature Center from 1-4pm. Evening activities will be held at Crystal Lake Park, with a central location at the Lake House from 5:30–8:30pm and will include looking and listening for bats at dusk!
