About this Event

Mark Vincent Pelini, a former Cardinal Mooney High School and University of Nebraska center, was remembered for his discipline, courage, and leadership both on and off the field. The Mark Vincent Pelini Foundation has created the MVP Center of Excellence Award in his honor. This award will recognize an outstanding offensive lineman (center) from Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Summit, and Stark counties who excels in athletics, academics, and community service. High school coaches can nominate one center, and six finalists will be chosen by November 11, 2024. The winner will be announced at an award breakfast on December 14, 2024.
