This September, join us at TVs of Terror for one of the weirdest, zaniest horrors of the 1990s - Michele Soavi’s “Cemetery Man” (aka Dellamorte Dellamore)!
Starring Rupert Everett (My Best Friend’s Wedding, Napoleon), the film concerns the daily issues faced by Francesco Dellamorte in his role as undertaker in a small Italian village. His biggest issue being that those who are buried in his cemetery - Boy Scouts, politicians’ daughters, biker gangs - don’t seem to want to stay buried. Sometimes it’s a small annoyance; occasionally it’s all-out chaos. Soon enough, Francesco sees both himself and his sidekick Gnaghi fall in love, run afoul of a serial killer, and confront their own mortality. But at least they have each other.
A unique romp through the trenches of late-stage Italian horror, from one of its last most prolific stalwarts, Cemetery Man is a darkly comic riff on the adventures of Dylan Dog starring a sexy, dangerous, and potentially insane Rupert Everett in one of his most oddball roles. TVs of Terror is excited to bring you another slice of Italian mania, this time from the wilds of the 90s, for the beginning of what promises to be an absolutely bonkers fifth year running!
