Admission info: Saturday Admission: $20.00pp.
Kids 7 thru 12 are $5.00, 6 and under are FREE.
Festival Times: Saturday festival starts at 12 noon. Gates open at 11:30am. Warehouse 535, 535 Garfield St, Lafayette.
Guinness cook-off: Did you know that our festival is host to the ONLY Guinness cook-off in the WORLD! Yes, that is right. We have one primary rule for our competition... whatever you choose to cook, must have Guinness beer as your main ingredient. YUMM! Whethere you choose to deglaze, saute, marinate, or make a sauce - the Guinness flavor must shine through. You can register from our website at www.celticbayoufestival.com/guinness-cook-off. Festival attendees will be able to choose 'Tasters Choice' that day for a small fee.
Music Lineup: Gerry O’ Connor with Don Penzein, The Here & Now, The Breizh Amerika Collective (Brittany), Hugh Morrison, Beth Patterson, Avoca, The Swampland String Band, James Linden Hogg, The Whiskey Bay Rovers, Nokosee Fields, The Ryan School of Irish Dance, Baton Rouge Caledonian Pipe Band, and the Thistle Scottish Highland Dancers and Pipers.
Children's Tent: We kick off the fun at 12noon with Children's activities. We also will have face painting, St. Patrick's Day crafts donated by the Lafayette Children's Museum, Irish language tutorial and an Irish dance performance. Children's area closes at 4:00pm.
Whiskey Tasting: 10 different whiskeys from the Celtic Nations will be showcased! This is limited to 50 particpants! We will have two tastings; time TBA. Tasting requires a seperate ticket - $20.00pp. **Due to overwhelming demand- this fills up quick, so buy your tickets early! Day of tickets cost: $25.00
The Bailey’s Pub: Always a party in the Pub with live music sing alongs and your favorite St. Patricks day specialty drinks - sponsored by Guinness, Bailey's, Jameson, Kilbeggan and Reve Coffee!!
Food: Celtic Bayou festival will be offering pub favorites such as Shephard’s pie, Banger on a Bun, Irish Nachos, O’Brien’s creamy Irish soup in a bread bowl and more!
Downtown Pub Crawl: This is a separate event on Friday March 15th @ 5pm. Join us in merriment as we make our way thru downtown Lafayette having the CRAIC with Irish music, storytelling and drink! Be sure to “Wear yer best” - there will be costume judging and prizes! Tickets are $25.00. Price includes t-shirt.
