Have little ones with Celiac Disease? or new to the Gluten-free world? Come by on Saturday, October 4th!Henry is 12 and was diagnosed with Celiac Disease just after he turned 1. In preparation for his upcoming Bar Mitzvah, he wanted to do something to give back to the gluten free community. While he doesn't remember how overwhelming it was for us when he was diagnosed, as he has grown up we have taught him how to navigate the gluten free lifestyle. He is creating "Celiac Starter Kits" to give out to people who have been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Each kit will include an information sheet on Celiac Disease provided by Beyond Celiac, assorted certified gluten free snacks and a guide for local restaurants that can provide safe gluten free food. Ideally he was aiming for these kits to be given to kids who were recently diagnosed, but we won't turn anyone away. He has received many donations of certified gluten free snacks, including some sent directly from Simple Mills, and he has also received over $1000 from friends and family. We will use some of this money to buy additional snacks and bags for the kits and any additional money will be donated to Beyond Celiac. - per Henry's mom💚
