Save the date ? October 20th Join us for the opening of the Southwest Washington Wind Symphony’s 20th anniversary season at the “Celebrations” concert conducted by Patrick Murphy from the University of Portland. The performance will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 20, at the Union High School Performing Arts Center. Musical selections include Americans We by Henry Filmore, Sanctuary by Frank Ticheli, Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral by Richard Wagner, and more. Americans We by Henry Filmore was performed at the very first SWWS concert in November 2005. At the concert, SWWS volunteers will host a fundraising raffle of an original fine art painting by Keith Lindberg, a contemporary American artist whose colorful and energetic paintings have garnered an international following. The Keith Lindberg painting will be raffled for $5/ticket (or 5 tickets for $20). SWWS was given this and other paintings in 2018 by the Give Art Foundation (Gene Wigglesworth and Grace Teigen).
Southwest Washington Wind Symphony concerts are FREE and open to the public.
The Union High School Performing Arts Center is located at 6201 NW Friberg-Strunk Street in Camas, Washington.
