About this Event
The Allegheny Observatory is growing the outreach program and building on the wonderful work of these teens. Going forward high school students can join the Allegheny Observers, a club that supports research with telescopes, community outreach and other astronomical opportunities.
At this event students will present their current projects and information about joining the club.
There will be hands on activities and mini tours for our younger audiences. After the presentations tours of the observatory will mix science, history and current events. If the weather is clear there will be observing with the historic 13" telescope as well as demonstrations of the 24" Keeler reflector, the main instrument available for the club.
