About this Event
Let's Celebrate Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration Day!
This special day pays tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen—America’s first Black military pilots and support personnel—who broke barriers during World War II and paved the way for future generations in aviation and beyond. In honoring their legacy, we also recognize the bravery and sacrifices of all veterans who have served our country. Celebrate the legacy of over 150 Tuskegee Airmen from the Mid-South, including LeMoyne-Owen alumnus Willard Louis Woods.
This in-person event will feature special guest speakers, historical exhibits, and a tribute to these trailblazing aviators, along with a salute to veterans whose dedication continues to inspire. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about their incredible contributions to American history and honor those who have defended our freedoms. Let's celebrate and remember the courage and achievements of these remarkable individuals together!
