Please mark you calendar and join us at Friends of Chidamoyo's 6th fundraiser for Chidamoyo Christian Hospital in Zimbabwe. This year we will be celebrating a life well lived by Sister Kathy McCarty. Kathy lovingly devoted 40 years of service to Chidamoyo and the Shona people of rural Zimbabwe.Kathy wanted people to celebrate her life with a party, so in keeping with her request, we will be hosting a Celebration of Life party at the Wallingford Boys and Girls Club in Seattle on September 11, 2021 at 6pm. We are thankful that Major Mereki, the administrator of Chidamoyo, will be joining us in person as well.
Please buy your tickets now so we can plan accordingly. Tickets are $40 to honor Kathy's 40 years at Chidamoyo. We will have beverages, an international buffet and live Zimbabwean marimba music. Dress is casual, colorful and comfortable.
There will be a paddle raise for the hospital to help support its continued operations and to honor Kathy's final request - that the work of Chidamoyo continue for at least another 40 years!
Life is short, lets leave a legacy of healing and hope for humanity!
