THE LONG: Come celebrate Tom Nowakowski who was taken from us June 1, 2024. Tragic. Is that the reward for having a big heart?! Jokes, he would have loved that. ANYWAY....We all mourn and miss him. March 22 , a few days after his Birthday (March 17th) we are going to have a Celebration Of Life for him. We will start chill with "quieter" time from 12pm -2:30ish where we will have food and snacks and we can all talk about good times we had with Tom. The event is at Metro Baltimore (Metro Gallery) from 12 noon to 5pm. Friends, family, and fans of his music are ALL welcome to attend...EVERYONE is welcome!! The first half will be chill..... there will be food and snacks banquet style, and of course the bar will be open for your purchases of. He LOVED playing music. Tom liked all kinds of music, BUT for decades he played in VERY aggressive, loud, and angry bands haha. You would never guess that from looking at him, but he was a monster guitarist and helped create a monster of a band. Tom was my guitar player in various bands over the years, the most recent was Hamilton Outlaw , a bluesy , rockin' band w/ a punk edge..... some singing and some LOUDER singing in there haha. We were blessed to have just finished playing 3 awesome shows in like a few week period and we got a live recording out of one, which we will hopefully have ready before the event. The next band that will play is Compression, a band we have played with and loved for years. It is very fitting for them to be a part of this event as we supported each other for decades and Tom loved them as much as I did. The last band is Monger. Monger has been playing for 25+ years. We played a TON of great shows and with a TON of great local and national acts...even some of our "idols". Monger is LOUD, ANGRY, FAST.... so the weak of heart may want to leave beforehand haha. If you ever wanted to step into what Tom lived and loved when he wasn't being "NORMAL" haha, then you should stay and listen. HE LOVED THIS. He would want this. I want this, I want everyone to come together and celebrate him in a venue we loved to play. There is something there for everyone! Don't be scared ....DOOOOOOO IT!!!! Any questions or concerns please reach out to me. xoxoxoxox
