Nicholas L. Kneifl, age 68, of Barre Mills, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at his home. He was born February 25, 1956, to Adolph and Eleanore (Clements) Kneifl in La Crosse, Wisconsin.Nick was united in marriage to Paula Servais on September 24, 1977 on St. Joseph’s Ridge. In 1985, he purchased and operated Nick’s Countryside on St. Joseph’s Ridge and in 2001 he purchased Nick’s Bar in Barre Mills.
He is survived by his wife, Paula, his children, Jason Kneifl and Nicole (Mike) Werner, grandchildren Marina and Elsa Werner, special pets, Happy, Jarvis and Jive, and his siblings, Harvey, Sharon and Mary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Eleanore, his special pets, Dusty, Riley and Tucker, and his siblings, Melvin, Ronald, Cletus, Thomas, Marlene and Eldoris.
A Celebration of Nick’s life will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Nick’s Bar in Barre Mills, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Joseph’s Ridge Lions Club, N1189 Continental Lane, La Crosse, WI 54601 or to West Salem Cares Foundation, PO Box 60, West Salem, Wisconsin 54669.
