Join Lloyds Banking Group and EY to celebrate Women’s History Month and be inspired to lead the future of tech & data.
About this Event

When we think about the most influential people in technology and data, the likes of Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs or Bill Gates often come up first. But how many women can we name? Did Ada Lovelace, Grace Hopper, Radia Perlman or Sheryl Sandberg cross your mind to name a few?

While women were amongst the first programmers, developing the first computer programming language and inventing algorithms that made today’s internet possible, women still continue to be under-represented in the tech & data industry. Women currently occupy only 22% of all tech roles across European companies. Additionally, only 23% of women STEM majors end up in tech roles, compared to 44% of men.

Lloyds Banking Group and EY believe that Women’s History Month is a great time to celebrate the women, who have already set a path for other women in STEM, learn from them and be inspired by them. We also believe that, while we can’t rewrite history, it is within our power to encourage more women to contribute to the future of tech and data in purposeful ways that make a difference.

We invite you to join us and our brilliant panellists in this celebration along with exploring how women can better prepare to become the Tech & Data Leaders of the future!

We are honoured to have an esteemed panel of guest speakers joining us on the night to help with this exploration: Jacqueline Quinn (EY Technology Consulting Partner), Lina Srebrova, (Digitalnauts XR Strategist), Rachel Curtis (CEO & Co-Founder of Inicio AI) and Ramy Gabra (Group Architecture Director of Lloyds Banking Group & Women in Tech & Data Ally). Through inspiring conversations we aim to shine a spotlight on influential women in the tech and data industry, explore what being a future tech and data leader might mean for women, learn more about emerging tech and being a part of the change, plus understand how women in financial services fit into the future of tech & data.

Come along and immerse yourself in the supportive community of like-minded women tech & data leaders, women on their journeys to leadership and their allies!

We might be filming and taking photographs at this event. Attendees should be aware that they may appear in background footage and images taken throughout the day. If approached directly, you can decline if you do not wish to be filmed/photographed.
