Professor Louie & The Crowmatix embody the rich legacy of The Band. A multi-instrumentalist and prolific producer, Louie earned his nickname from The Band’s Rick Danko and went on to co-produce and perform on their final three albums: Jericho, High on the Hog, and Jubilation. The Crowmatix began as the studio backing band for Louie’s productions with The Band and later performed extensively with its members. Their collaborative album, Levon Helm & The Crowmatix: Souvenir Vol. 1, remains a cherished highlight of their shared musical history. Expect a powerful and authentic performance filled with the heartfelt sound that made classics like “The Weight” and “Ophelia” unforgettable.
