This annual celebration honors Absalom Jones who founded the first Black Episcopal congregation, and in 1802, was the first African American to be ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church.St. James' in Fremont will host this year's diocesan celebration of the Feast of Absolom Jones, with a reception and light refreshments following.
