About this Event
Reflecting the theme of the Sikh Art Exhibit, "Nānaka Ivẽ Jāṇīẽ: Contemporary Janamsakhi Paintings" (Feb 1–Mar 31), audiences are invited to explore the sacred narratives of the first Sikh Guru through the lens of women’s experiences and contemporary social, political, and environmental issues. Author & activist Valarie Kaur will bring these stories to life with musical accompaniment from singer and trumpeter Sonny Singh, rababi Qais Essar, and pakhawaji Prof. Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa. Plus a special conversation with curator Sonia Dhami. Through stories, songs, and art by Keerat Kaur, the performance invites audiences into a space of reflection, where past and present intertwine, sparking contemplation on our collective future.
