Scattered People: A Song Can Take You Home
Come along and witness the courage, character, and hope
through the screening of the Award Winning film Scattered
People, a live music performance by the Nava Ensemble
and Guest Speaker, Deb Stringer, CEO Australian Refugee
Association Inc.
Be inspired by the resilient spirit of displaced people around
the globe during this Refugee Week celebration.
Scattered People is a story of restitution and hope, of shared
humanity and the role music can play in forging bonds of
friendship and respect and giving voice to otherwise unsung
heroes. It features interviews with music icons including
Missy Higgins, John Butler, Archie Roach, Michael Franti,
Katie Noonan, Dan Sultan, Baker Boy, Harry James Angus
and more.

Nava Ensemble is a group of local Persian musicians in
Adelaide performing Persian classical music based on the
spiritual and mystic poetry. All of Nava’s performers have
been taught by the masters of music back in Iran and still
follow their passion for Persian traditional music.
