Guzmán.” Guzmán will be reading work that reflects on a racialized queer immigrant childhood, poverty and working class life, as well as spaces where marginalized people can imagine new possibilities for themselves and others. The poetry reading begins at 4 p.m., followed by a reception and book signing by the author. This event takes place in person and online. Please register if you plan to attend!
About the Pankake Poetry Series
The Pankake Poetry Series was named in honor of retired librarian Marcia Pankake, whose love of poetry was demonstrated in the countless readings and poetry events she hosted at the University of Minnesota Libraries. The Pankake Poetry reading usually takes place during April, National Poetry Month. The event is supported by the Friends of the Libraries and is part of the Friends Forum: A Series for Curious Minds.
