His work changed the course of modern dance forever.On what would have been Mr. Ailey’s 94th birthday, dancers are invited to join former Ailey dancer Linda Celeste Sims for a special workshop exploring Alvin Ailey’s genius as a choreographer. Students will learn segments of Mr. Ailey’s most celebrated choreographies while delving into his impact on both the dance world and American history.
