Join the Asian Bar Association of Washington (ABAW), Filipino Lawyers of Washington (FLOW), Korean American Bar Association of Washington (KABA), Seattle Chinese Bar Association (SCBA), and South Asian Bar Association of Washington (SABAW) as we celebrate AAPI Heritage Month together with this special panel of distinguished judges!
THANK YOU to our panelists, to WSBA for hosting the event, and to our sponsors!
Panelists:
- Justice Mary Yu, Justice, Washington Supreme Court
- Honorable Ketu Shah, Presiding Judge, King County Superior Court
- Honorable Tana Lin, U.S. District Judge, U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington
- Honorable Janet Chung, Court of Appeals Judge, Washington Court of Appeals, Division I
- Honorable John H. Chun, U.S. District Judge, U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington
We are honored to host this incredible judges panel for a joint AAPI Heritage Month event! Together, we are celebrating recent history on the bench, and perhaps all too recent history. Each panelist represents a "first" in the Washington AAPI legal community. We will hear from the judges about their pathways to the bench, how they found the motivation and support to become trailblazers, and how we can encourage our members to follow in their footsteps. Then we'll have a reception sharing food, drink, and good company!
Submit a proposed question for the panel: If you would like to submit a proposed question for the panelists, please email it to [email protected]. Submitted questions will be selected by the event organizers at their discretion. There is no guarantee that any submitted question will be presented during the panel.
